America's Old sweetheart is losing one of her prime TV slots, Strike Back season 3 premiere gets a date, M. Night Shyamalan comes to TV and Adam Lambert is coming to TV too.

SENIORS DISCOUNTED NEWS

... NBC has canceled Betty White's Off Their Rockers after two seasons. The series featured senior citizens playing hidden-camera pranks on unsuspecting whippersnappers and pretty much sums up NBC. Imagine being the person who had to tell Betty White, America's sweetheart, that her show was canceled.

BUSINESS TIME

... The two-hour finale for NBC's America's Got Talent will air on September 18 from 9pm to 11pm,

... Cinemax has slapped a date on the third-season premiere of Strike Back. Counterterrorist operatives Stonebridge and Scott will be back to blow sh*t up on August 9 at 10pm.

CASTING NEWS

... Parks and Recreation will welcome a few House of Lies stars to its upcoming season, including one Ms. Kristen Bell. Bell and Ben Schwartz have each reserved guest appearances, with Bell playing a council woman who becomes Leslie Knope's nemesis, and Schwartz reprising his role as the cocky sleazeball Jean-Ralphio. No word on when they'll appear or whether they'll appear together. Side note: You know what's still really weird? Parks and Recreation is NBC's only returning comedy.

... Former American Idol contestant  Adam Lambert has been cast on Glee. Sounds about right, I guess.

... Political Animals star Carla Gugino will star in the Fox limited series miniseries Wayward Pines from producer M. Night Shyamalan. The bizarre 10-episode thriller stars Matt Dillon as a secret service agent who ends up in the small town of Wayward Pines, Idaho, to investigate the disappearance of two fellow officers. But things get weird. Like, Shyamalan weird. Gugino will play the ex-partner of Dillon's character who lives in the town. No timetable has been set for Wayward Pines' debut.
