..... ABC Renews Nashville, Scandal, Revenge, OUAT, and Many More, But Cancels Happy Endings
Fashionably late as usual, ABC has finally revealed the fates of many of it shows. And most of the verdicts are pretty much what we expected. "Grey's Anatomy", "Scandal", "Castle", "Suburgatory", "Modern Family", "The Middle", "Once Upon a Time", and "Revenge" have all been renewed. In a minor surprise, "Nashville" and "The Neighbors" have also survived, and will both return for second seasons. And "Last Man Standing" will be back, too.
But there's also bad news. "Happy Endings" won't be returning for Season 4, at least not at ABC. The comedy was a longshot for renewal after struggling in the ratings, despite earning much love from critics. However, Jane, Brad, Dave, Alex, Max, and Penny have a chance at a lifeline from USA Network, which has already expressed interest in saving the show.
Also receiving bad news from ABC today were "Family Tools", "How To Live With Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life)", "Malibu Country", "Red Widow", and "Body of Proof", which have all been canceled. That's one season and done for the two midseason comedies, the Reba McIntyre sitcom, and the mob wife drama, and a three-season run for "Body of Proof".
