BATTLE OF THE FEMALE HEADLINES NEWS
... Oh no! Ratings powerhouse NCIS is losing one of its most beloved characters as it heads into its butt-kickin' eleventh season. Cote de Pablo, who plays fan-favorite agent and delightful butcherer of the English language Ziva, is leaving the CBS hit... soon. De Pablo will appear in Season 11 for an unknown number of episodes, to wrap up her story and then move on with her career.
... Oh yay! Sci-fi sweetheart Summer Glau will be joining the second season of The CW's Arrow. She'll play Isabel Rochev, the vice president of a company looking to execute a hostile takeover of Queen Industries. And if she's like the Isabel Rochev from the DC Comics universe, she won't be too fond of Oliver Queen.

News Briefs : A new Super-Heroes Themed Series on TV...
... Fox has ordered a pilot for The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, based on the graphic novel by Alan Moore and Kevin O' Neill. Said league is made up of extraordinary gentlemen from fiction, including Captain Nemo, the Invisible Man, and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The graphic novel was adapted into a mediocre movie starring Sean Connery in 2003. It sounds like Fox doesn't want ABC's Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to steal all the "superhero" thunder, and the timing of the pilot order means it isn't too late for it to join the 2013-2014 schedule.
Rmmy Nominstions reactions : Emmy Nominations are out....

The Emmys nominations are here, TV shows (second) biggest night is here. To know if all the hard-work put in, over the past 7 months was well received. The nominations to know the contenders for the awards in different categories was released last week, and as expected, there were (alotta) groans, surprises and thumbs up. A lot of the power-players are back again, American Horror Story, Homeland, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, 30 Rock, Modern Family, etc.
News Briefs: Family Guy Is Headed to The Simpsons' Springfield
News Briefs: Family Guy Is Headed to The Simpsons' Springfield
... Whoa, I don't quite know what to make of this. Peter Griffin and the rest of the Family Guy gang will be road-tripping to Springfield for a Family Guy episode set for fall 2014 in what may be the greatest crossover the world has ever. The Griffins will buddy up to Homer and the Simpsons, and they'll pair off for some crazy shenanigans. But more importantly, we'll find out which beer is superior: Duff or Pawtucket? (Duff, duh!) The voice cast of The Simpsons will provide the voices for the four-fingered yellow freaks, so this ain't no one-sided stunt, but is this a mash-up that we really want to see?
... CBS would like you to know that with DVR, online streaming, and OnDemand stats factored in, more than 20 million people have watched its summer hit Under the Dome, up from the 13 million who watched it on day one. [CBS via press release]
... TV Land has ordered 10 more episodes of The Exes, its comedy starring Donald Faison, Wayne Knight, and Kristen Johnston.
CASTING NEWS
... Arrow has caught its Black Canary. Death Valley's Caity Lotz has landed the juicy role, which will see her become a love interest for Oliver (Stephen Amell). She'll start as a recurring character but should eventually become a series regular.
... Taryn Manning is staying in prison! The actress has been promoted to series regular on Netflix's fantastic new series Orange Is the New Black, where she plays redneck methhead Tiffany "Pennsatucky" Doggett. Earlier this summer, Netflix renewed OITNB for a second season before the first even aired.
... Grey's Anatomy has added two actors to its stable. Hellcats' Heather Hemmens and Being Human's Bobby Campo (he also played the great Yolo in a one-episode bit on Justified) will recur on the ABC soap as a couple that gets involved in a *surprise* medical emergency. They'll appear in the premiere with a chance at sticking around longer than that.

News Brief : New Poster for The Walking Dead, and Game Of Thrones casts a major character
... New poster for The Walking Dead's fourth season. Showing off different range of weapons used by the characters, Rick's there with his revolver, Daryl's with his trusted crossbow (dude's got that thing since Season One), Tyreese is wielding his hammer like he's Black Thor, while Michonne is swinging her katana while riding on a horse.
... Game of Thrones has cast Prince Oberyn Martell. Chilean actor Pedro Pascal who has appeared in The Good Wife and presently stars in Graceland, will play the brash, charismatic prince from Dorne who comes to King's Landing looking for bloodthirsty revenge?
... Happy Endings is "OFFICIALLY" officially canceled. After weeks of trying to find a new home for the show, Sony TV has given up, and the cast's contracts expire this weekend. After the show's axing at the hands of ABC, there was word that the comedy might be shipped off to a cable network like USA, TBS, or TNT. But USA passed, and no other networks stepped in to pick it up. Sad though, Happy Endings was the funniest Friends ripoff-inspired comedy since Ross and Rachel got married.
... The Once Upon a Time spinoff Once Upon a Time in Wonderland will be longer than expected. The series was originally conceived as a 13-episode miniseries, but now it's going to get extra episodes. How many? We don't know yet.
... The Good Wife is upping its sexy factor with the addition of Hunted's Melissa George in a recurring role next season. George will play the in-house counsel of Governor Florrick. George also appeared in Grey's Anatomy and Alias.
... Beverly Hills, 90210 vet Brian Austin Green is joining FX's Anger Management as the nemesis to Charlie Sheen's character.
... Lots of Glee cast members won't be returning to the series as credited regulars in Season 5. Heather Morris (Brittany), Mark Salling (Puck), Amber Riley (Mercedes), and Harry Shum Jr. (Mike) are all expected to see a lot less screen time next season. Same goes for Dianna Agron (Quinn)—though to be fair, Agron wasn't all that present in Season 4.
... Lost's vet, Rebecca Mader will guest-star on the upcoming final season of Syfy's Warehouse 13. The actress has an affinity for science-fiction shows, she's appeared in shows like No Ordinary Family, Fringe and Alphas.
